overnite bbq...

came back from bbq yest morning at bout 11.15....

it was not really fun....juz enjoyed the night cycling....a number of ppl who said they were coming did not turn up....esp the one who was supposed to bring the tissue....she told us last min she was not coming......luckily at giant, we saw serviettes going at a dollar, which was cheap so we took a packet and that was b4 she called. At the checkout counter, we realised that they have free gifts of maggi mee and a few boxes of tissue. Haha. Oni a few ppl went to giant to buy the food stuff and I was one of them. My mentor was the most irresponsible. He told a few weeks back that he wld be going but he didn't turn up last min on fri as he said he remembered tt he has a wedding dinner. He was supposed to bring sambal prawns...but since he didn't turn up, there were no prawns. It was the cheapest bbq i ever had...

On fri, it was raining in the morning but luckily in the afternoon, the rain has stopped. There was oni 1 guy from my class and the rest were gals. My class has two guys but the other didn't come even though he was invited as he had sth on. He failed a subject so he has to stay back 6 months and we dunno whether he's still part of the class. Three als brought their boyfriends along at different times. So they sort of like help out a bit like pitching the 6-man tent, cook food etc. The weather was good...not really sunny and it was very windy. The wind even lasted thru the next morning. It was cold at nite. Some of them who said they were staying went home, so in the end oni 8 ppl stayed thru the nite, the guy classmate and 7 (singaporeans except 1 malaysian) gals.

There was a dispute and 1 china gal went home unhappy coz none of the gals want to take a two sitter bike except one who already has a passenger and she has to let the guy classmate cycle her which she didn't want. We rented the bikes which was quite cheap. It was supposed to be $8 for the nite until 10 am in the moring. But since there were 7 of us renting, it was $7 except mine and another gal's as our bikes were smaller. So mine cost $6. 6 of us went nite cycling a few times in the late afternoon and nite while 2 ppl stayed at the bbq pit as they dun want to cycle or dunno how. We played frissbee at nite to pass time. Nobody brought card games so it was quite boring. We chatted and some rested a while in the tent. I didn't sleep the whole nite. The breeze was very cooling. It was very difficult to pass the nite. Nth to do....and we had to wait until 9am to go home as that was the time the bicycle shop will open. In the morning, oni 3 person (me included) went for a last round of cycling to the jetty as the rest were complaining of aches and pains in their butts, legs etc.

Hmm.....I dun really like this bbq......IF i will be staying in the future, muz bring books or plenty of games and there must be more ppl staying.....
